Maxi Claws have a fan that will need removing using the four nuts inside the cap.

Step 1:
Play a test game and turn the machine off mid drop to get the length needed to swap.

Remove the front cover and slide off top of the gantry.

Unravel the red cord from the spool completely and see where the screw is holding it in place, the gantry head may need to be removed if not accessible.

Step 4:
Unscrew the holding screw and pull the red cord out from the claw end, alternatively the red cord can be cut as it is getting removed.

Step 5:
Remove the red cord from the cap, depending on the type of red cord attachment there is, and install the new one on the claw cap.

Step 6:
Follow up from the claw into the brass spring tube and around the wheels to create the ‘N’ shape up to the spool.

Step 7:
Insert the burnt end into the hole of the spool wheel and tighten the screw into place.

Step 8:
Reconnect the gantry wires at the top and connect the top properly.

Step 9:
Turn the machine back on then hold the claw and red string to guide the claw up as it reels in the cord and avoid it tangling itself. Play 10 test games and put the front cover back on.
